Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated journalist and a businesswoman. She's the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news website and a television host author, author and philanthropist. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington immigrated to England with her family at 16 years old. In Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the famed debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first non-native student who was elected to this position. When she graduated, she made her name as a conservative syndicated columnist and with the launch of The Huffington Post' few years later, she launched an online voice portal which provided critical views about the current political climate. Arianna was able to attract numerous prominent contributors to post their views about politics and culture. Arianna's celebrity status was first noticed in 2003 when she became an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace the then governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded a Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient vehicles. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top women in the media, achieving 12th position on their list and in the same year Guardian included her in the top 100 list of media. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. She was then made the head of the AOL media group. The group included several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos the journalist and management consultant. Although she had a close connection to both her father and mother and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. From her early years, she demonstrated leadership skills that are still highly regarded. at the age of 16 she emigrated back to United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the colleges debating societies, where she eventually became its first foreign and female president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was conferred. Following her graduation, she was an editor of the critic's column and a television host. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She began to write books, taking his help for editing.
