Anya Taylor-Joy

The birth of Anya Taylor-Joy took place 16 April 1996 in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor is a retired banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy is a psychology student. The father of her was Argentine and has Scottish and English heritage. Her mother hails from Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's prior marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, then moved to Victoria district in London. Taylor Joy admitted that the transition from Buenos aires to Victoria was a struggle and she didn't study English, hoping to go home to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands and then Hill House. Then she attended Queen's Gate School in London in which she attended ballet classes and took part in plays. After she turned 16, she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. She was given a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
